The Coimbatore District Collector Office at State Bank Road, Gopalapuram, is the head of Coimbatore district’s administrative machinery. If you’re a Coimbatore resident, this is the office you route to for district-level government grievances, disaster relief, land record queries at the district level, and formal petitions to the Collector — routine certificates (community, income, nativity) are issued by the Tahsildar, not here.

What the Collector Office handles
- District administration — implementing state-government policies at the district level; supervising taluk offices and village administration through the Revenue Department chain.
- Public grievances at the district level — petitions that a Tahsildar or RDO cannot resolve, or that need Collector-level intervention.

When to visit and what to carry
The office runs Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:45 PM. Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Tamil Nadu government holidays.

- A written petition addressed to “The District Collector, Coimbatore” — hand-written or typed, in English or Tamil.
- Photocopies of any supporting documents (previous correspondence, ID proof, property documents, etc.).
- Your Aadhaar card or another government photo ID.
- Any earlier acknowledgement or tracking number if this is a follow-up.
